Pros

One pro was the friends I made while working here. The other pro was getting paid to study for my licenses.

Cons

Where do I start? My new hire class only has about 5 of the 25 of us left working there if that tells you something. They say you will eventually get out of a phones roll but that will be YEARS. They prevent you from progressing but the whole time I was drinking the kool aid thinking the little projects I was working on would get me somewhere. They pay less than the average salary for a college grad. The time off lottery system is terrible because if you don’t get the day and you take the day off then they punish you. They cut your lunches to 30 minutes without notice some days. The clients can be very mean to you. Vanguard is very controlling with every minute of your day and you have no ability to show your talents. The sign on bonus is something they will send you to collections for and offer no settlement but then make errors daily where Vanguard throws away money. I quit and moved companies and it was so weird actually being in charge of myself. I get to control my work day and got a pay raise of 17,000 more than vanguard was giving me. If you work here in any phones role then you are quite actually wasting your time and will find the real corporate world way different when you leave... in a good way. Quit before you get sucked into their madness. Additionally, there’s always restructuring going on so be careful because you get no say in where they put you.

Pros

1. A good learning experience (You will know what not to do in a career) 2. If you never leave they don't ask for bonuses back 3. Good retirement package for life long emoloyees

Cons

Vanguard is a giant of the past and it shows. This is a call center job don't listen to the voice in your head trying to persuade you to take it, it will be evident on the first day. Every minute from entering to exiting the building is tracked by the minute, especially to use the bathroom. I never once worked the advertised 7.5 hours a day, overtime was made mandatory and more often than not lunch was cut short for overtime. I quit, finished my two weeks and left 10 months into employment during the Covid crisis, I never received communication from VG and was charged over pay and a sign on bonus spent 10 months earlier. You are a number. Buyer beware.

Pros

Good benefits including health insurance and PTO.

Cons

You have inexperienced FADP and suck-ups running lower management. Out of touch middle and upper managers who only care about hitting their employees hitting the ever rising metrics. New FADP and IADP PAS advisors start in the mid to upper 50’s while Voyager Select advisors make low 90s after two years in the role. Start paying all of your employees a competitive wage. Stop judging and punishing employees when you don’t agree with your opinions. Stop treating crew like robots and overworking them.
