Pros

Depending on District/Store great culture. Awesome discounts and bonus incentives for full time management. Relatively lenient on being able to use your discretion with difficult customers, "What Would Van Doren Do?" - basically make the customer happy reasonably. Great position to learn retail and people management in - applied itself to any career field later on.

Cons

Job Security (retail and working in malls in today's landscape can be tough depending on location). Corporate can be corporate sometimes, DMs or RMs pushing unreasonable and ridiculous selling behaviors sometimes.

Pros

Package is good, company car, health insurance, credit card etc. People outside of management are really dedicated to the brand

Cons

Used to be a great place to work however since covid there's been a huge switch in culture across all brands owned by VF (Timberland, North Face etc). Everything is much more focused on 'shareholder value' not what's good for the brand. Have been making experience people redundant and hiring inexperienced juniors making them do three times the work. Yearly pay reviews are always well below industry standard Company internal HR is useless.
