Pros

Seeing the athletes show skills they learn and happiness at our events is really heartwarming. Lots of different projects from event items to camp items to social media projects. At the end of the day, cheerleading won't come to a halt if something isn't done. Uses a project management system which keeps the receipts of everything so one can really see where the bottle necks are. Same things happen at the same time every year so one can theoretically be proactive.

Cons

Over the years the profit has been more important than the end result and it shows. Merit increases were never in line with inflation so every year was a pay cut. Turn around times were insane. Other peoples lack of planning were made to be problems, that were then designs fault. Still decided to construct a new office building downtown when employees did not want to return to the office. And then forced them to go to the office to justify spending money on a new office downtown in a food desert. Company does a lot of virtue signaling. Zero follow up on things being tied to DEI initiatives which was talked about during the George Floyd protests in 2020. Team members were often actively left out of opportunities/ team bonding items quite often which is not great for morale. Maternity leave is a joke, especially considering the company is based on making kids lives better. Do better by the parents, then the kids lives will improve. Even though the company is huge, it felt like I was working at a circus. We know events are coming at certain times of the year, but no one planned for them until one week before the event. Which made being proactive impossible because everyone is spread so thin. Zero follow up on big projects, so we don't know what worked/didn't work to improve the next year.
