Pros

Great people working in the trenches.

Cons

Advancement has everything to do with personal relationships, not ability or proven hard work.

Overworked & underpaid. Disgusting company culture all around.

Pros

Travel can be fun and working in a sport centered around youth - teenage athletes is somewhat fullfilling. You will learn a lot about a lot.

Cons

You will 100% work so much overtime you won’t even be able to keep track and you won’t be paid for it. During the event season, you’re looking at 80 hours or more in a week in total... more than likely you’ll work weeks and weekends back to back without a day off - if you aren’t one of these employees, people will probably consider you lazy. You will work yourself to death. In this company, it’s basically glorified to work so much you don’t sleep, eat, etc. Also, the company culture is a disaster on so many levels. If I were to disclose all of the disgusting things that go on in this company, we’d be here for a few days. I’m talking inappropriate, disgusting behavior. The industry as a whole is pretty embarrassing. They constantly over promise and under deliver ... seems like a place you’d be proud to work for on the outside, but once you’re there, you realize it’s the complete opposite. The business model is also set to keep the pockets of those at the top deep, and under pay everyone else who actually logs the man hours and gets their hands dirty. So, it’s obvious that the individuals at the top stay, while all other positions are full of constant turnover. The pay (or lack of pay) for most individuals, and the insane amount of hours worked, is illegal.
