At a strategic level, product direction in a couple of teams lacks the coherence one would expect of a maturing organisation - leadership in these areas continues to operate with the improvisational quality of an early-stage venture. Similarly, decisions around workforce scaling - whether expansion or contraction - tend to materialise without adequate forewarning or explanation, leaving employees to connect the dots retrospectively.
