Pros

There are no pros for Veho at this point!

Cons

Veho needs to consider the satisfaction or rather dissatisfaction of the independent contractors who deliver their packages! On Sunday, July 19th, I took a four hour route for $120 in Atlanta. I waited in a car line for TWO HOURS, then another half hour once inside the hub to have my route brought to me so I could try to fit it into my car. That took another half hour! The four hour route turned into TEN HOURS when all of the waiting and unresponsive customers are taken into account. Several customers who live in gated communities were slow to respond or one never responded at all. Once I returned that package on Monday, I became eligible for “instant pay” but here we are on Wednesday and I’ve received NO MONEY. AND you want to score me because I didn’t finish on time?!? Really???

Pros

You make friends with some of the employees and occasionally get free food if it’s delivered to the wrong warehouse lol

Cons

I will list the main cons, but to sum it up it’s all based off the face that corporate is not concerned whatsoever with what actually happens during the operations, the safety of the employees, or the warehouse environment as long as they can be as cheap as possible - regardless of the effect - the warehouses are not with A/C which is fairly common, however the job requires you to essentially brisk walk and carry 50lb boxes for 7-9 hours overnight Again, not an uncommon warehouse job until you add in the rest: - over a 9 hour shift, you are alotted a single 10 (not 15) min break. When I first started, there wasn’t even this 10 min break - it took half the staff walking out to then get a deserved break… in a 90 degree warehouse. - the company doesn’t provide hydration, the team leaders use their own money to fill up water coolers to help the warehouse workers prevent heat stroke - at one point, the pay was $21-22/hour for this overnight shift burning 1500 calories non stop, then one day they moved it to $20, then $19, then $17 until at $17 people stopped coming. So then they settled at $19 - even the district/area managers who are supposedly required to come into the warehouses multiple times per week will rarely show up, and when they do I’ve literally seen them show face for 10 mins before going to their car to sleep for hours on the clock - lastly, the most major problem is that the people deciding staffing are people that don’t even work in the warehouse, have never once worked in A warehouse, and have no idea on the pace of operations. The amount of times I’ve witnessed them try to get supervisors to send everyone home (to save hours) with thousands of packages left (because they understaffed to save hours) makes the full time employees worried about the companies future. They’re cutting costs so much that it destroys the flow of day to day operations and pushes everyone back. But again they wouldn’t understand because they work in an AC corporate office making these decisions

Pros

Fast paced environment with no shortage of opportunity or things to do. The company has had sustained and successful growth which has been encouraging to be apart of. The office culture in NYC is building as Veho just moved into a new corporate office, while other employees are able to also be remote / hybrid. There are a lot of new roles and a focus on hiring across teams which will help support company goals and the sustained growth.

Cons

Peak season is definitely busy, and there is no shortage of work to be done across teams which can make the work life balance challenging at times. This is definitely something that fluctuates by teams and departments.
