      Pros

      The firm seems to genuinely care about its employees. Most people are friendly & engaging, which isn't always the case in corporate/legal environments. Solid benefits package and good work-life balance.

      No cons that I've encountered.

      Pros

      Venable is a reputable firm with many wonderful partners and is a leader in many of its practice group areas. This allows for the opportunity to gain exposure to interesting client work at a fast paced environment for competitive pay.

      Cons

      The culture is toxic and anyone who is at the associate or paralegal or analyst level, particularly doing non-legal or consulting work, is in for a thankless time of long hours, questionable treatment of employees, HR issues that get explained away or swept under the rug, and ultimately anyone who is talented or motivated enough to land a job here deserves to be somewhere else.
