Pros

You truly have a voice. "Better Way of Living" is not just a brand, it's a promise to both its residents and employees. Strong core values exhibited starting at the top, leading by example.

Cons

I dont know if this is a con or not, but Venterra has extremely high expectations. Venterra is a career choice, not just a job. These expectations seperate the A players from the rest. However, Venterra offers excellent support to help achieve your goals, with a grand payoff. Success is definitely celebrated.

The high expectations that you mention definitely run throughout the organization, and it's great that you've seen the benefit of it. We're always on the look out for ways to improve, so please be sure to speak up if you do see an area for improvement in our support, our celebration of the success of our employees/communities, or any other realm of our operations. Pros

Venterra is one of very few companies dedicated to the success of its employees. Through their never ending pursuit of excellence and team first attitude, Venterra has become the very definition of setting the example for all businesses. I have grown to be a better employee and a better person working for Venterra and I am forever grateful for all they have taught me through the years. I have been promoted twice with the company and witnessed dozens of other promotions.

Cons

There aren't any cons to working for Venterra. If there ever are, they are the kind of company who listens and makes changes that benefit the employees.

Pros

- They provide great training for new employees. - Fun work environment. - Manager is easy to communicate with and shows care in the employees. - You get to wear many different hats as a leasing agent so there is always something to do besides working with prospects. - Promotions from within. - Big emphasis on great customer service and brand value. - Great benefits for full time employees

Cons

- You may be required to commute to different properties to fill in the office duties. Some of those commute drives can take up to an hour. - Those who used to work till 5pm might not like the fact that some properties stay open till 7pm on week days. - Since the business is all about dealing with people, you will occasionally be working with some mildly to very unpleasant prospects and residents so you have to be able to quickly regain attitude and shake off negativity.

Thanks for your feedback! It's great hearing that your experiences with us have been positive overall. While requirements for commutes and hours can vary by community and by role it's important that we are doing our best to make sure that we strike a balance between our policies creating a positive customer experience and creating a positive employee experience, so please be sure to speak up to your Property Manager if you ever feel like we should consider tweaking the setup at your community. You're definitely correct that with just about any Venterra role there is the potential of needing to deal with upset folks. It's important that our employees are able to competently and confidently handle these situations while not internalizing any negativity. While this is the case with most customer service positions, we do our best (largely through the great training that you mention) to make sure our employees are as prepared as possible to handle this difficult situations. If you ever need any more guidance on this front be sure to speak up so we can help you out! Thanks for your intranet and Encasa suggestions, too! We'll be sure to pass them along. If you have any other ideas for us be sure to submit a Better Way! Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and have a great day!
