      Pros

      Veolia places on emphasis on the people that work at all levels within the organization. The leaders demonstrate humility, are very approachable and make the workplace an enjoyable one. They " walk the talk" when it comes to ethics and integrity.

      Pros

      Good treatment of people overall, reasonable long-term thinking and some attention to retaining good employees. This is the good part of "European": people still matter.

      Cons

      Very travel-heavy, lots of face-to-face international meetings, very centralized decision structure with most of the big decisions being made in Europe (this is the less-good part of "European"). Sometimes there's a feeling that the North American employees are a bit lower in the eyes of the Europeans and have to work harder and prove themselves in a way they might not if they came from France.
