Pros

I learned a lot. The other employees that worked for Veolia were good when it came to training and supporting thier personnel.

Cons

The upper management would not support thier employees. Not only were they not paying employees what they deserve and were not giving raises. They began to take things away, for example: I worked offshore and they paid for flights back and forth to work, month working, month off. They started to make employees pay for thier own last minute one way tickets.

Pros

Training and knowledge sharing of inter-project relations can be tremendous. There is a good mixture of seasoned veterans and greenhorns. If you are in the right position, the Company will take you all over the US for training and meetings. Benefits are great for single, married, and kids. The Company cares tremendously about safety and their employees wellfare. Depending on the area, there may be multiple positions to train or advance in / to.

Cons

The management at the site dictates how the Company runs. There is no standard for training, travel, or raises. Managers have the strong tendency to play favorites by assigning higher pay raises for less work - A manager can give raises based on his impression of his employees. Therefore favortism is not checked by Human Resources. Senior leaders (Area and above) do not offer routine checks to ensure that the Project Managers are following HR procedures. Since the Company is paid generally through tax-payer dollars and a contract is in place, there does not seem to be any concern over "extra-spending" when it involves the City's funds.
