      Pros

      Incredible opportunity to learn quickly Very smart co-workers Google Perks Products have tangible impact in the world

      Cons

      - Not uncommon for people to be under-leveled and therefore underpaid - Horrible work-life balance - consistent messaging/guilting from leadership that employees should be willing to sacrifice their own mental health because we build moral-driven products - Superficial commitment to equity and inclusion - Constantly changing priorities - impossible to hit a moving target - Messaging from senior leadership that we are all replaceable "if we can't handle the marathon" - no real desire to fix the culture of the company

      Overall: Separating from Google culture In devices org: Poor Strategy: E.g. Repeated over excitement followed by cancelation of projects Culture: Over value of politicians, under value of technical folks Understaffing Attrition: Departure of a lot of best talent
