      Progressing through lots of change

      Pros

      - company rewards high performance - after large migration off Google infra (a.k.a. flywheel) things are steadying - benefits are still very competitive - lots of very talented people

      Cons

      - the culture is off post-flywheel, where many employees seem apathetic - have lost some of the niceties we had as part of Google which has left people upset

      Getting better at execution, still a touch chaotic

      Perks are being trimmed down to satisfy the whims of potential investors Awkward transitional mix of waterfall and agile planning interfere with each other

      Pros

      Intelligent coworkers and WLB similar to Google.

      Cons

      Equity compensation has been slashed and then put on indeffinite hold, 401k contributions reduced, zero transparency from leadership about the present or future, declining morale, more beaurocracy and red tape added to projects so that everyone can pat themselves on the back without anything making it to the actual customer.
