      Pros

      Smart co-workers and great benefits/compensation.

      Cons

      No clear direction. Moral low. Extremely high turnover. All original leadership is gone. The leadership is very secretive while, at the same time, saying that they are transparent. Work/life balance is off. Similar to another review, I also received an email from management to put in a good review in Glassdoor to make the ratings go up. This made me dislike the company and leadership even more and prompted me to enter this review. Not sure the current rating is correct based on what I am hearing inside the walls.

      Best Company to Work For (esp. if you are in Med Devices / Life Sciences)

      #1 place to work in the healthcare / medical device industry Best Work Culture (best in the US / Bay area too!) + Best ever in Life Science / Med Device Work: Very Supportive coworkers + managers + leadership team who help you deliver the best and provide you with the most amazing work/life balance (Leadership Team at Verily has focused on keeping employees happy and providing them the flexibility) Working on some of the coolest medical device / life science products with a lot of AL/ML and the latest technology in healthcare research and care. Very innovative work culture Lots of learning / growth opportunities Compensation is more than what Apple would pay you! but with the best work culture and work/life balance Other Benefits: Great 401K $20,000 (Your contributions). $10,000 (Verily matching). Great Health Insurance, can you believe it? $400 is out of pocket max! (other places $3000) Great Vision, Dental benefits, life insurance, legal benefits etc... Free massages, gym with trainers, and so many others... Free food (breakfast lunch and dinner with many options to choose from, this is truly a luxury beyond what you could even imagine) + Micro kitchens on every floor Maternity leave and Pat leave - the best in the industry / the whole of the US! 20 weeks Pat leave... P.S.: I have worked for large Medical Device companies in the past and I can tell you Verily is #1 in every aspect possible.

      The precision health vision is deeply meaningful, and people are here because they want to make a difference in people's lives. The updated leadership team, under Stephen Gillette, has streamlined and focused the company around that vision.

      The focus is still early days, and lots of foundations are still in the process of being built.
