      Loved it for a while, but couldn't get over the lack of transparency

      - Incredible engineers that are easy to work with - Culture is very team dependent, but for the most part great

      Cons

      - There wasn't much transparency into how we were doing as a company - leadership felt very top down

      Pros

      Great benefits. Rich SOPs. Still tethered to the "mother ship" which offers back office support and enormous financing.

      Cons

      Even after raising billions, the company still hasn't found a way to become profitable. It's getting there but its hard to know if your work is part of a good idea or just part of some other initiative subsidized by Alphabet's willingness to lead another round.
