Pros

Verily has done a great job at making sure that our voices are heard. When considering and major changes, everyone weighs in. We all work very hard, but we also feel very vested in the outcome of our work, and I feel like I am seen. Fantastic benefits and great people. Overall, a fantastic place to work.

Cons

There is a skewed view of work/life balance. We tend to say [like most companies] that we have a great work/life balance, but this is not always the case. We are often asked to work outside of our working hours, but the pay rate makes it all worthwhile and it is, honestly, not a deal breaker for me. I am easily able to shut down on the weekends.

Pros

Interesting work, full of highly talented and intelligent people who somehow are also helpful and collaborative. There are lots of people with deep technical expertise and others with deep healthcare expertise, with lots of overlap. And as an Alphabet company, we share Google space and enjoy the perks other Googlers get.

Cons

With much of the company being remote post pandemic, it is too easy for new hires to get lost and isolated.
