Pros

- People are smart and nice, but 75%+ of peers are new due to high turnover rate.

Cons

- Extremely high turnover rate - Constantly losing historical knowledge as people leave - The company is not any more defined than it was several years back (they can't make up their mind on who they are and what they want to focus on), yet continue to hire. - Competitive culture to impress the new team members + leads.

Pros

A great company to work for! Team members are engaged, passionate and fun to work with. Verily also has a flexible, common sense approach to RTO implementation. Additionally, leadership values feedback and is not afraid to have hard conversations. They know current pain points and are transparent in actions taken to address issues.

Cons

More shuttle options/routes would be great.

Underpaid Corporate Slavery

Pros

Generous Google and Alphabet benefits carry over into Verily, which are nice

Cons

Underpaid compared to peers of equivalent background, education and experience within Verily and across industry - many of us took a pay cut to come into Verily Boring project work - trivial products. Too trivial for the intense dialogue and constant fighting. No time to work on 20% and bunjee projects. Leadership constantly spinning in circles - unclear direction, constantly dropping projects and pivoting. Lack of peers with Medical Device experience, making the role that much harder, constant reintegration, continually regurgitating the same thing to get nowhere. They hire the smartest people and then want us to dumb ourselves down and cut corners.
