      Pros

      Initially the Kana Software culture was a fun and engaging place to work.

      Cons

      But then Verint bought Kana Software and the culture changed to one of unnecessary bureaucracy

      Pros

      Coworkers are nice. Free coffee. Office is closed the week between Christmas and New Years. The office was close to my house.

      Cons

      Departments are very siloed. I found myself working on projects with one set of requirements only to find out that someone from another department would be working on basically the same thing. Upper management is technology adverse, which seems strange for a technology company.

      Pros

      I started with GMT, the startup that Verint purchased. During that time there was much freedom and readily available support to do your job with great work/life balance.

      Cons

      After the purchase and moving to the publicly traded corporate world, that all changed. Being held to training metrics that were not in my personal control; these were used to determine your yearly salary increases. Training was that; training. travel 95% and no work/life balance.
