Pros

Work life balance has been very solid in my experience, and one reason I have enjoyed working here for so long. There is a very healthy amount of PTO / Holidays. I've never been shamed or felt bad for requesting time off, even short notice. If you are performing well and staying on top of your work, time off is very flexible. It is also a fairly stable work environment and industry. I don't ever fear I'll wake up and not have a job anymore.

Cons

Internal promotions and salary growth can be a bit cumbersome to achieve in some areas.

The many detailed aspects of this position make the onboarding process difficult to navigate. My leadership team has been incredibly patient while also providing great support and encouragement.

Cons

Very steep learning curve if starting without prior knowledge or experience in or with flood hazard issues.
