Pros

The job is pretty low stress. You aren’t on the phones all day. Typical 9-5 hours

Cons

I hope this message reaches someone who handles this issue. So as you know verisma rarely increases pay to their employees. Well at least I can speak for the department I am in. A lot of employees in our department are so confused as to why we are taking on additional work and more sites having more responsibilities yet our pay is not increasing. We get these biweekly emails from Marty saying we are taking on more clients yet why does none of this profit were making go to the people who bust themselves every day? In all actuality a raise of atleast 25-50 cents yearly would make Most employees happy. How can we be expected to raise our 401ks yearly by 1 percent if our pay is not going up. The point of raising your 401k yearly is so that it offsets it by taking home more pay. I have been with this company for a few years but I’m not sure how much longer I will continue to stay with you. The mentality of this company is similar to that of spectrum the cable provider. “Who cares it’s you’ve been with us for a long time, we can get 3-4 new people to replace you like (snap)” it’s very sad I love working for this company but it’s sad seeing people who are working jobs like McDonald’s, cashiers, retail jobs either making more money or equal than someone who is handling PHI. If you continue to keep our wages the same I’m sure you will see more of your veteran employees leave the company and potentially seek employment from rival medical record companies. Also you face the potential of your employees forming a union so that we are guaranteed yearly raises. Im honestly very surprised verisma is not unionized perhaps because it is a relatively new record company. Anyways that’s all I have to say. I hope this reaches someone on the higher up level of verisma so that you can truly see how we feel.
