      Working for Verizon

      Pros

      Verizon was a great place to work in terms of monetary compensation. Also, my particular direct supervisor was wonderful to work for, however I can not say that for all immediate supervisors. They are a company who continues to try to be on the cutting edge of technology and offer that to their customers.

      Cons

      Verizon's upper management does a terrible job at keeping all their management employees in the loop on their decisions. The management's environment is a difficult one to be in. There is a constant threat of lay-offs and most benefits have been stripped from management employees.

      Pros

      The job itself is not to bad, your middle of the management road so you get to miss alot of the heavy Corporate BS, however are still held responsible for many in store issues. Overall a good position and you can gain a lot of experience.

      Cons

      Levels of micro managing have increased greatly over the years, it becomes increasingly difficult to do your job, most of your time is spent filling in forms and checking a lot of boxes verifying your reps did an activity someone with a much larger salary feels is important.

      Pros

      If you need a paycheck and benefits package and are able to tolerate extreme differences in management style...this is a good fit for you.

      Cons

      No career advancement. Majority of employees, especially management , lack "higher education". Very, very high stress. Excessive micro micro-managing at all levels. Too much focus on customer satisfaction; not enough on employee satisfaction, respect or loyalty. If a worse company to work for, unsure which ones they are. Lack any type of business etiquette.
