      Easy to sell but hard to get paid.

      Pros

      Good network to sell and good customer service. Commission structure used to be fair and you can make a lot of money in sales if you work hard. A lot of hot women that are mostly single. There are also great rewards for exceeding sales such as trips and merchandise.

      Cons

      Not much room to grow. Good old boy network. I got my commissions percentage cut because they were running ouf money. The harder you work the more you make until now. Sure there are some good rewards but you can't use those to pay the bills. Goofy logo too among other things.

      Pros

      Benefits aren't bad. Not industry-leading but not rock-bottom either. Good medical, dental & vision. Tuition assistance of $8K per year.

      Cons

      Culture of micro-management. Shewed and untrustworthy HR, willing to take employees for a ride. Old workforce. Lack of young people. Not many opportunities for young people to grow into middle management. dozens of rounds of lay-offs over the years have left -once friendly- employees weary of each other and they're happy to stab each other in the back.

      verizon-get outsourced as your career goal

      Pros

      none or "well, you have a job", there are no career paths, there are no promotions, there is no reason to work there unless your goal is to get a routine paycheck.

      Cons

      entire staff being outsourced to india workers who do not talk to verizon employees. they put india workers who talk in foreign languages, have no dress code and wear beach clothes to work in the same areas as the US workers. the US workers require a dress code while the india workers walk around the office barefoot and with blue jeans. the india workers have no intention of talking english in the office.
