Pros

Telecom sector is undergoing one of major overhauls in over a decade. Verizon is a great Company with Great Services & Products. Innovative technology - the one of its kind in Telecom Field. Wireless & FiOS are great products - the platform is really excellent. If one wants to work on cutting edge technology and products then Verizon is the platform to be.

Cons

Poor Senior Management particularly in Information Technology. Senior Management lacks communication skills, experience and understanding of customer issues. Senior Management needs a complete overhaul to lead this company forward.

Pros

You need a paycheck. I was in the inbound call center. Uggh It was always a stress fest and rules and regulations changed daily. Very hard to keep up and if you didn't immediately learn the new rules you failed calls. Nine times out of ten your supervisor didn't know what was going on either. They changed management pretty rapidly.

Cons

Cubicle, call center work need I say more? If so ok, it was decent pay with great benefits but the actual job was just horrible.

Pros

Good training for the job at hand. Information is circulated heavily and there's always an answer to your questions on the company intranet. Compensation and benefits are second to none in the cell phone industry. There are plenty of career opportunities ranging from retail sales to lawyer to IT, etc. Employee morale is increased through quarterly kick-off events.

Cons

Lack of fairness and respect at the individual level in the retail channel. Leadership could put more time into morale boosting activities and ease up on stressing too many things at once. You can sometimes get lost in the disconnect in such a large company that is national in scope.
