Pros

Opportunity for professional and personal growth, lots of training, solid leadership and industry reputation. Employee benefits are wonderful, 401k, tuition assistance for college degrees/classes.

Cons

transferring between divisions or organizations can be difficult if management isn't aware of the process, or the process is changing. The Call Center rep is an entry level point into the company, with the opportunity to move up or on from there. Options to move out of the Call Center environment are very limited, and not ably facilitated by call center managers.

Pros

Excellent work / life balance. Teleworking allowed. Benefits and Compensation are excellent.

Cons

Employee satisfaction is really dependent on your direct manager and the relationship you have with him or her. Some people have positive experiences working at Verizon while others have negatives ones. Lots of organizational change which leads to ambiguity which impacts employee morale.
