Pros

Management is great about personal interaction Great Verizon benefits Great co-workers Selling great products Opportunities for moves within the company

Cons

Not enough room to advance; sales have been slow and yet they continue to hire more personnel. Management needs to stop and take a breather to assess how much growth is realistic.

Pros

401k, pay for school as long as it is in a related business field. You will also get 50% off your vzw bill, amd get discount with Verizon fios,

Cons

Been with them 6 yrs in different states, nj management sucks, you will only get promoted if your BFF with mgr. And if your manager is single with no kids and you have a family... Your also done.. They don't understand and expect you to have like 3 back up plans if your kid gets sick or injured at school and you unfortunately have to take off. Not all managers all like that, but unfortunately mine was. Also, this particular manager did not treat her employees with any type of respect. If you did something wrong, she would not pull you aside, she will raise her voice at you and embarrass you in front of everyone... Not only does she currently do this to sales reps but to her assistant managers. She would never motivate you, and our store became depressing with no morale what so ever..within 3 months of her being manager there, 5 people transferred and one person quit on the spot. With her you have to do double of what the goals are in the store in order for you to get a pat on the back, if you reached the goal for the month, (which sometimes are a little ridiculous, typically no more than two to three ppl meet the goal, out of 18 reps) then you just did your job.. Verizon Wireless is a great company but it can make you or break you, you will always have bad apples, and I got the worse one.

Pros

They have great pay and benefits. If you are at the top. Congrats! You will be making very good money in a short time. That was not a sarcastic statement. If you make it at VZW you will be set. Their managers make killer money.

Cons

However, the management is under enormous pressure to hit very challenging goals, and as they say, $H!t roles down hill. But more than likely you will simply give your youth to the company, while you can take this pressure cooker style management, until you have a nervous breakdown and have to stay because the benefits are the only thing that can keep you in the expensive anti-anxiety/depression medication that you have begun popping like candy. Otherwise, its great!
