Pros

401k is good , work life balance is also good

Cons

Company is full of bad office politics . Specially Internet of things (IOT ) group. Don't join this group even if you get million doller . Layoff and re-structuring keeps happening every quarter.

Pros

When I first started it paid very well for retail. I think it still does compared to other retailers. Made good friends.

Cons

Verizon Wireless Retail has a (bad) habitat of hiring/promoting good sales reps. However, this meant that they typically made terrible managers as they had no skills other than being cutthroat and selfish. I worked there for 6 years and had 8 managers (Store and Co-managers). 3 I would consider having decent leadership skills. The rest were insecure, immature and petty. Managers were typically young, never held management positions (let alone had any training or education). The commission when I left made no sense. The finance team would change it every month due to different months having more or fewer customers. Which made little sense since they didn't change how we got a commission. So, you would have one month with a 30% increase to your goal but no way to increase your commission other than being told to "sell more". I took my 5th year and 6th-year commissions and compared the amount I sold with what I got paid. I received 17% less pay for selling within 3% the same amount.

Losing Employee and Customer Focus

Pros

Benefits, pay, team, personal growth, surrounded by technology

Cons

Work-Life Balance, continuous restructuring, and no true defined goal. States a Focus on Employee and Customer experience, however does not translate in the day to day workplace.
