Amazing opportunity in a challenging but rewarding environment
Pros
1. Equity in a hypergrowth pre-IPO startup 2. Fast progression and development if successful (clear promotion path and in a startup environment like this, you'll learn more in a year here than in 3 elsewhere). 3. Collaborative and social culture (being around people working towards the same goal is highly rewarding) 4. Benefits (from commuting and lunch expenses to PTO, fertility and professional development grants). 5. Amazing office in a great location (modern office space, top floor with a view of London, stocked cupboards and fridges, wellness room, phone booths for privacy, golf simulator and ping pong table)
Cons
1. Hard work (you get out what you put in, it's not for everyone and there's no shame in that - Startups can't operate the same model as a 30 year org). 2. High stakes (pushing towards challenging and demanding goals in that pre-IPO journey). 3. Need for adaptability (things can change fast in startups - we need to be able to pivot and adapt to be successful). 4. Office work (I believe a strength but not if you live too far away or need to be at home for a specific reason: young children, caring for someone etc...).
