Pros
The bottomline is that this is an output-driven organization. If you consistently meet/exceed your respective responsibilities, you'll be fine. The company has tripled in size and reached a $1.6B valuation in 2-3 years. If you think hyper growth is a result of a great product market fit, you're 50% right. The other 50% is a relentless team that has their eye fixed on a profitable exit. What does that look like day-to-day? Hard work. This should be obvious.
Cons
If you thrive in environments that have built out processes, a clear scope of job responsibilities and sub 40-hour work weeks, join a big company. Any successful early/mid-stage startup, Verkada or otherwise, will not give you any of those things. Regarding the recent comments about a questionable culture. My recommendation is to get to know the leader you'll report to and the people you'll work most closely with. The predominant culture you experience will comprise of your interactions with those folks. Be your own judge in determining whether or not those that you interview with would make for good coworkers.
