Great People, Rewarding Mission, Slow to Change

Pros

I have bounced between several departments, and I have been fortunate to work with wonderful people. Two promotions within 4 years so there are opportunities if you are willing to seize the chance.

Cons

Change control, process improvements, and hiring are very slow. HR often does not understand scientific knowledge or technical skills needed. Turn-over in senior positions is slow, so you can only climb the career ladder so high.

Adheres to a mission that the leadership and staff believe in. Deep scientific roots to the company. Pay and Benefits are equivalent or better than many Milwaukee employers. Friendly and collegial atmosphere.

Cons

HR policies and practices are behind the times. Insufficient resources in support organizations. Too much tolerance of senior management missing goals and commitments.
