Great people work here. There is a lot of synergy with the surrounding hospitals and the medical college. They have very deep pockets.

Cons

The culture here is fear, fear and negativity. There is just enough unprofessionalism and inappropriate behavior from management to interfere with productivity and good strong science.

Innovative researchers conducting transformative studies to benefit individuals and the community. Offering competitive salaries and generous paid time off for management.

Cons

The CEO and leadership are disconnected from the reality of the organization. The corporate culture is poor and dysfunctional - misogynistic. The organization operates as a for-profit entity, awarding its leaders large bonuses of $250,000/yr while frontline workers earn $18/hr. Goals set for the organization are unrealistic and not supported by data. Internal and external communication is severely lacking, and there is no clear strategic plan in place. Additionally, there is a lack of transparency within this half-billion-dollar nonprofit - from your blood donation (how they profit from it) financials and HR practices & policies. Avoid working here at all costs. Go to Children’s or MCW.
