Pros

Few, you will have a role in collecting blood products that could potentially help those in need.

Cons

Work life balance in none existent, hours not good if you have a family, working most weekend, management plays favorites, hard workers are under appreciated, bad insurance, they expect the staff to always accommodate them rarely interested in helping the staff, they make zero effort to be even a decent employer, lots of staff leaving or giving a lot of thought to leaving.

Pros

-I like the company values. -our work saves lives.

Cons

-No Sick Time: This is a huge issue I have with the company. If you call in sick, they automatically take PTO. We work in healthcare, see lots of people, we are bound to get sick.... they’re putting patient safety at risk by having this policy. I’d rather come to work with the flu than lose my PTO, and that puts our blood supply, patients, donors, and employees at risk. -Can’t request off unless you have PTO in your bank. This is just ridiculous, I can’t plan my vacation a year out because I don’t have enough PTO now but will in the future. By the time I will have enough PTO in my bank, it is likely my request off will be denied because it’s first some first serve. -If you ask someone to work for you and your shift is covered, they automatically PTO from you even though the shift is covered. -Hours vary by week and you need to be available 4am-10pm. -our benefits have decreased since becoming Versiti. For example, PTO policy is awful (see the first few bullet points), we have a PTO cap (no more acquiring PTO on overtime), and our hiring rate decreased.

Pros

Life saving mission, the front line staff are amazing.

Cons

Goals are not attainable, you don't hit them so they raise the bar higher. Managers and above are so disconnected to the front line. No clear direction each day the focus changes. You work 60 to 70 hours a week and it's still not enough. Managers and above keep saying change and improvement is coming but it never happens. I've been here a long term employee and we have the same cycle of issues year over year.
