Pros

Good salary, great benefits, many perks. High quality drugs for major diseases. Good, hard-working, dedicated employees.

Cons

Resources stretched too thin, employees stressed and overworked, inadequate performance feedback and training. Indiscriminate hiring and firing: employees are highly expandable.

Pros

Vertex is an extremely unique organization with great people and a great deal of opportunity to learn and grow. The company and the people expect you to work hard at Vertex, but in my experience those that work hard here are recognized and rewarded.

Cons

Vertex is growing and still venturing in to unchartered territory which is both a source of exciement here as well as some frustration. At times the need to be nimble results in wasted efforts.
