      Pros

      Great benefits. Good work/life balance. Fair pay. Friendly atmosphere. Most areas of company are allowed to work from home one or more days a week.

      Cons

      Zero accountability. No opportunity for advancement. Divergent views and independent, proactive thinking are not valued.

      Pros

      Vertex is a flexible work environment and their loose organizational structure does allow for some freedoms for self-motivated workers. There's a lot of job security and a great work-life balance, as they generate a lot of revenue but don't have much competition.

      Cons

      The bureaucratic complexities of this company and the resistance to change leads to organizational nightmares at every level and in every department. They fear technological advancements and refuse to pay off tech debt in spite of having the labor hours to do so. Many of management's decisions are based around avoiding jobs that are hard or that would reduce the workload of someone in another department and threaten job security, even if doing so threatens the stability of the organization at large.
