Pros

They had a great low-key intern program. I learned a lot as a QA intern and it was a summer well spent.

Cons

There weren't really any cons, to be honest. I had a good summer and the internship was a great career builder.

Pros

Vertica is a great company to work for, full of very talented engineers with a commitment to performance and reliability. It's a great product, delivering capabilities that are hard to get elsewhere.

Cons

Vertica was purchased by a much larger company with some typical big-company habits. Vertica management tries very hard to protect workers from corporate nonsense, however.
