Pros

Its great all the free things they give you. Ive got tons of free bras and lip gloss. That's pretty much it.

Cons

Extremely late hours! Managers are never on the same page which is so confusing. Managers definitely pick their favorites and only elevate them. Its a really hard because the managers at all of the stores are like best friends so you dont really have a chance if you thought you would transfer. I've personally seen managers curse and yell at employees and them gang up and lie about the situation to make themselves look good. I was told by a manager employees are replaceable but not my mangers. So it was basically them against us. I feel like they need more training and need to own up on their responsibility to the store failing. To make it worse the customers are worse then any other retail store I've ever worked for.

Pros

Great pay and the brand is easy to fall in love with, also getting one of every new product free is great, I used mine as presents for holidays and birthdays.

Cons

Expect to be treated like garbage, that is a reality for everyone who works here, I was constantly insulted and thrown under the bus for other people's mistakes. I worked 12-15 hour shifts with only 4-6 hours off in between most days and when I got my paychecks they would show less than 36 hours when I had worked 48-70 hours, the pay is great, but don't expect to be paid for your work. Working at Victoria's Secret you can also expect your job to be threatened on a daily basis. The sales associates have absolutely zero job security, if you don't sell at least $400/hour you will be fired, also if a manager doesn't like you you can expect to be fired for "theft", this happened many times in my store. I quit Victoria's Secret because I was treated terribly, overworked and underpaid, after I had gotten five checks in a row that were less than half of what they should have been and nobody would fix it I got tired of working all day and not sleeping three nights a week to be paid less than the cashiers at McDonald's.

Pros

This company overall drives passion for the product and the customers. You can't help but feel proud every time you walk into your store. They also compensate very well and offer a ton of gratis/buy-ins. You work VERY hard, but at least they pay really well. It's also nice to see hard workers who maybe don't have college degrees earn a comfortable living based off skill and work ethic. PTO is great as well, but you have to really make sure you plan it out with blackout being about 30% of the year.

Cons

The company is lately getting away from talent development and just driving dollars. I don't feel they are investing in their future since many of our associates see how overworked management is, they lack desire to grow into rise roles. Even with solid bonus and pay structures positions turn quickly because the pressure is really high. Upper management can make you feel disposable at times, and feedback used to be valued, but lately falls on deaf ears. Shrink is out of control and there is little support for in store ORC. I also love the company values, but feel like the company only follows them when it is convenient or doing well.
