Pros

It seemed like a casual and relaxed environment, good location, good job in general, nice office, some people were nice

Cons

In my department it was toxic, unprofessional unethical, immoral, full of immature bullies and favoritism, ageism, sexism, boys club, old men flirting with the young girls, mean backstabbing liars, discrimination in general, not to mention the full bait and switch being given work that was not in the job description.

Pros

The initial onboarding materials are standard, but any positive aspects are completely erased by how individual stores are actually managed.

Cons

Hostile & Toxic Workplace Culture: Management actively fosters a high-tension atmosphere. The GM openly told other employees that new hires "won't last a month," creating immediate job insecurity rather than a welcoming environment. Bait-and-Switch Tactics: I applied for a location 15 minutes from my house. I was intentionally misled during the interview process and told the alternative store was "20 minutes away," only to find out it was a 45-minute commute from home. Unverifiable "Ghost" Complaints: The GM repeatedly claimed customers and employees complained about my hygiene and dress code but refused to provide any specifics when asked. These complaints were entirely fabricated or weaponized, as I wore standard company attire (black button-up and dress pants) and upper management/trainers at New Hire University (NHU) had zero issues with my professionalism or appearance. Sabotaged Training & Commission Gazumping: Instead of allowing new hires to learn the systems, management actively sabotages hands-on training. I started a phone and watch sale, only for it to be completely taken over and restarted under different credentials so I couldn't learn the Omni checkout flow or earn the proper credit. Dangerous Solo Staffing: Expect to run an entire retail storefront completely alone. Management routinely leaves a single employee to handle a packed floor. When five customers are waiting and a single phone transaction takes 30 to 45 minutes, it forces customers to wait hours and sets the employee up for failure. Blocked Transfers: Despite the district claiming they are "fully staffed" to block transfer requests, multiple people quit and are rehired in the same week. Poor Store Hygiene: While management makes vague claims about employee appearance, they fail to maintain the store itself. The breakroom is routinely left filthy, with trash covering the tables and food crumbs all over the floor.
