Pros

Good sense of community between the town and the university. A good amount of the people were nice. Pay was decent when factoring in the cost of living. Beautiful surroundings and a good selection of nature activities in the vicinity. Good choice of festivals and events put on by both the town and the university. Excellent place to work if planning on settling down.

Cons

Bureaucratic working environment. Lacking in community for young professionals. Lacks any real sense of diversity.

Pros

As long as your department has money and you work hard, you get paid. Nice environment around mountains .

Cons

It may differ by department, but some don't push you. Quite environment can be both pros and cons. Not too much to do.

1. Work-life balance as a grad student, we all know, doesn't exist 2. Poor rotation and placement system in the microbiology program 3. Certain professors with bad student relationships are never disciplined
