Pros

- Great brand, it still looks great on the resume to have Visa as an employer - It belongs to the Payments industry which is a great industry to be in - It provides visibility into the Payments applications and products which are pushing new technologies and consumer behaviors - It provides a fair-to-good compensation package

Cons

- Terrible silo'ed culture with people building walls on top of the existing ones - Average of senior management skill set and leadership abilities are way below industry/market average (some are good, but many are terrible) - Some senior management are allowed to harass employees - The worse senior vp in the company (based on an Inovant employee survey some years ago) was allowed to continue his practices of harassing people, including top performers

- Weak senior management - Company is ran as an old bank mentality and not a public company - Manager/Business Leaders/ Sr Business ledaers are not encoraged to lead and are frequently shutdown when trying. - There are no sense of strategic direction

Pros

Exceptional potential to take Visa into the future - the heritage of quality, and the sheer scale make for great opportunities to extend the network business model into adjacent industries. As with most large organizations, there's plenty of room to move around, rewards are competitive. Growth & feedback of course are dependent on your line management.

Cons

Poor communication from CEO and management board - probably the weakest, most uninspiring executive leadership I've seen. There's little in the way of a corporate vision, and an entire lack of cultural enhancement programs, despite the fact that Visa Inc has only just formed from a merger of six or seven separate organisations.
