Pros

Great team to work with and the benefits package is quite good. There were many long time employees here as well.

Cons

Vishay is a company that is always focusing on reducing staff wherever possible. It is no secret they want to shut down manufacturing ops in the USA and move the jobs overseas.

Pros

Companies tried to promote work life balance as much as possible. However departments in Customer Service and some Finance department are under strain.

Cons

A lot of cost pressure. There seems to have long term plans to move out functions to a lower cost environment. This makes people think future in the company is limited.

Pros

Filling the gaps for the team forces you to learn how to do other jobs. It is difficult for Vishay to attract good people.

Cons

Commodity business mindset. Very low investment in research and development. Lip service for future growth but no investment in new technology. Individual contributions don't matter in large conglomerate.
