Pros

The benefits are great. The mission is worthwhile and the people are wonderful. Training was top notch and thorough.

Cons

Reorganizations, layoffs, and uncertainty! There was a "changing of the guard" and many key positions retired. Now several new high level executives are making sweeping changes. The focus is less on community and making a difference and more on profits and take overs of other blood banks.

Covered Parking If you have given up on your career and want to collect a measly paycheck this is the place for you!

Cons

Lackluster upper-management who make questionable decisions Hiring freeze in certain departments and areas and absolutely no replacement hires Uses the "money is tight" phase when convenient (lower level gets dumped on while upper management line their pockets) Expect to work long hours with no reward whatsoever

Pay was fine. You are also paying with your mental health.

Cons

Executive leadership is the worst I’ve ever came across and that’s saying a lot. One member of leadership openly talked horribly about a “lower level” employee in their department. I love how they try to espouse DEI but have come across micro aggressions from the highest of upper management, who is a person of color no less. Performative, no ethics, full of lip service.
