      Pros

      Wonderful job working with both staff, donors, and blood recipients. Great opportunity to be creative, work on events, write and interact with the local media and feel that you made a difference in the world.

      Bought out by a large corp that didn't see value in paying to keep talent.

      Pros

      The job was simple. Load the bus with pre-staged totes. Get the nurses on their way to the blood drives. Clean up. Build more totes for the next days drives.

      Cons

      Literally had an hour long meeting regarding trash vs recyclables. Lots of finger pointing and no problem solving. The lead is very nice to your face, but runs to tell the supervisor all issues and what she feels is not being done right. Both the lead and supervisor are not open to suggestions that is proven to be efficient. Scheduling will not allow you to have a life/work balance. One day you could start at 4AM and the next you may be starting at 12PM. It was a blessing in disguise that Vitalant decided to end my employment due to my poor performance, which amazes me because I was always the one to arrive first and last to leave.
