Fascinating Job with poor DEI

Being a part of the solution to help save lives every day was exciting and fulfilling. I had a lot of great coworkers who are friends for life. I learned a lot about myself and pushed my comfort levels to become a stronger person. The training was thorough and it is where I first discovered my passion for process improvement and working cross-functionally with other departments.

Cons

It was a male dominated department where it was made clear to me that women should keep quiet and just do your job. That was very difficult and disheartening. I literally had a man tell me that it was a woman's job to be seen and not heard. Unfortunately when I brought this up and other issues, very little was done to address it and I noticed that my reviews became harsher. Ultimately, I got another opportunity and left. I hope things have changed for the better.

Not enough pay Pay issue was being discussed but felt very shady, higher ups seemed like they were hiding a lot of things

Very competitive salary for a phlebotomy job You are playing a key role in where a real difference is made.

No set schedule This job is not for everyone, if you are looking for set hours this is not the place for you
