Pros

Free Occasional Vivint Swag, Free Meal For Every 8hrs Worked, Yearly Fall Event

Cons

MANAGEMENT & LACK OF COMMUNICATION. Period. • The lack of GENUINE skill required to be a manager is noticed after seeing behind the curtain. The work ethic is subpar, trickle down delegation is the motto to avoid any blame if everything goes south, disregarding any genuine input from employees in any sort of improvement whatsoever. • The work environment is the typical “VIVINT-BRO” mentality, there’s a lot of favoritism in regards to that, SHADY SHADY SHADY sales tactics that get a blind eye FROM MANAGEMENT! Meaning site directors, top sales rep, all over the company. • You don’t need a +4 year degree or +10 years to know why installs rates / cancelations are HIGH, you just need to work for the company and see it. • You will feel like a cog in a machine with little to no room for growth, the metrics are unrealistic at times, the ever changing policy’s & pay structure are also another topic of discussion. Prepare yourself to be EXPECTED to go above and beyond expectations for MINIMAL pay.

Pros

The building is quite nice. (The Smart Home building in Lehi that is). Some of my former co-workers were great. They had some really good individual talent and honestly didn't know what they had in some of those leaders. Lots of potential to drive product, innovation as a product designer but that's where it all starts to go downhill.

Cons

While the company and product had real potential, it's squandered by a top-down, dictatorial management style that cripples innovation and invention. As a company pro, I mentioned their talent pool and that was absolutely true but they didn't' leverage that talent coz it wasn't always necessarily in "management" and I use that term very loosely - And if you're not in that good old boy's club, talented or not, you're no-one and your opinions are invalid. Then there are the ladder climbers that will step on anyone's throat to rise thru the ranks. They create a toxic environment and end up in roles they have absolutely no business being in. They're not qualified nor have the skillset but they're friends with the right people and that's all that matters. The turn around is so high because no-one is valued and the credit is going to all the wrong people.
