Pros

Some really smart people that could help the company even more if they were allowed to get off their computers. Growing company with many opportunities to move up to other jobs if you choose.

Cons

Getting information is difficult. Very hard to get things accomplished with so many internal systems. Instead of working with customers and ensure their needs are met so often employees end up documenting into one system or another the majority of the day. It feels like the company is in constant knee jerk mode.

Pros

There are some genuinely excellent people at this company with good hearts and great work ethics. Snacks are usually stocked and free lunches on a monthly basis. Some fun company outings and games to play in the office.

Cons

Where do I start? This company loves to make loose promises. They promise their software will improve and their clients will be happy - this never happens. They promise their employees large bonuses, raises, and stock options - those things never come to fruition. The company is continually setting up their clients and employees for disappointment when none of their tall tales actually come true. Word of advice... if you are considering joining this hot mess, get everything you’re “promised” in writing. The CEO and upper management avoid direct answers like the plague. Legitimate questions such as “what about our bonuses?” and “where is this company headed?” are met with ridiculous, ambiguous answers that leave everyone in the dark. Absolutely zero transparency as to what’s really going on - causing distrust and disloyalty from the staff. The department heads run around with unchecked power and egos. Employees who are honestly unfit to manage anyone simply add “Director” or “Manager” to their title and act as though they’ve earned it. HR pulls policies out of thin air and makes/breaks rules on the fly. Frequent inappropriate comments and language from the CEO and upper level management. As an employee, you spend your time wondering “How a company can possibly function like this?” The answer is simple, it doesn’t. If this doesn’t sound bad enough, there is no job security. One day you’re chatting with a co-worker, the next you get an email from HR letting the staff know “today is his/her last day and we wish them all the best.” Talented, hard working employees are laid off without reason while the loudest mouths in the room are allowed to run a muck.

Pros

The products fit a huge need for the casino industry so combined with a large sales and marketing budget, the company has been able to sell a ton of software.

Cons

The company has seemed to be focused on being acquired like your typical tech startup so has pushed a lot of software out into the market before it was ready and has also left the company with a lack of leadership, especially people leaders. Management is primarily reactionary for the most part.
