Pros

Volt offers a very fair bonus structure for recruiters with a solid base salary. There are many national accounts that always keep you busy and there is lots of information available to help service those accounts. They have some good, solid accounts.

Cons

Volt's Management team is horrible. The area managers are so out of touch with the branches and their local clients. They seem to focus more on the large national accounts than the small or medium local accounts. In addition, they make poor hiring decisions when it comes to local branch management. We had an on-site manager who slept during a meeting with a client and was unkempt in her appearance. We had a branch manager who was extremely condescending, unprofessional, and belittling toward her staff as well as the temporary employees. We had a district manager who made sexist and homophobic remarks These things were overlooked by upper management even after several employees complained. Volt is also very "old-school" when it comes to training. They spend a lot of money flying employees to training sessions that may only last for four hours, instead of doing it online. The corporate trainers are anal to a point of being obnoxious. Too many forms, log books, all outdated...

Pros

Good reach into clients' store of available jobs. Respectful demeanor. A fair amount of enthusiasm.

Cons

Passivity: They seem to wait around for jobs to come open rather than taking a proactive approach on behalf of their current and potential employees. Below-par benefits, including health coverage and time-worked bonuses (you have to work a ridiculous number of hours just to get a "week off"). Low to no support of current employees when it comes to workplace issues.
