      Pros

      there are opportunities for advancement, once you've been there for a while, you can join one of the outside departments (bakery, starbucks, deli etc) which is ALOT better than being a courtesy clerk/bagger

      Cons

      its a company that honestly doesn't value its employees, i've been here for 5 years, and i've never been informed of any of my benefits, and whenever i try to ask about them im always met with annoyance

      -Amazing coworkers and supervisors -Can work around ANY schedule -GREAT place for a first job and while attending school -Philanthropic

      Cons

      -"Overworked and underpaid" is an understatement -One of the supervisors constantly harassed employees verbally. Never worked with a worse supervisor.

      Pros

      They'll basically hire anyone, easy job to obtain. The location I work for starts everyone as a courtesy clerk (the bottom of the chain) which is really stupid but it's easy to move departments and get hired.

      Cons

      Management is more like mismanagement. The union is totally unfair especially if you don't plan on working for the full 6 months in order to actually obtain benefits. 15 bucks out of every paycheck really doesn't help when you're trying to make money. Also, there aren't enough hours to go around, management bases hours off of sales from the previous year so it's completely irrelevent and a lot of the time they are understaffed.
