Pros

Good part-time job if you're getting through school, good union benefits, flexibility, learn about customer service, product knowledge, health & safety procedures

Cons

Difficult to advance to higher positions. In the 8 years working, I did not see a black Store Manager in Ventura County area. They need to eliminate combination clerks because they normally dont get paid the value of the job description that theyre doing.

The union health benefits are the only reason I've Been with them for so long if not for the benefits I would have been gone!!!

Cons

Everything the company stands for now. We have managers that are setting their protégés up to fail just So they can secure their jobs a little bit longer. Mark my words though, that's only gonna last for so long before the right corporate person finds out the same things keep happening and they shut it down.

Pros

You'll meet people who have been working with the company for many years, and those working their first jobs. More often then not, a friendly environment.

Cons

There are always those few employees; typically mangers that are very self entitled for no particular reason other than they've been there a while. Union dues drop you below minimum wage if you are being paid minimum wage. No benefits until after your 7th month of employment.
