Good company, and getting better

Pros

Good results oriented culture. Very type A. Good people and smart. The leadership team has transitioned into a new culture where employee welfare is now a concern.

Cons

Long days. Limited opportunity for advancement. Getting promoted is difficult because of the internal policies. As a manager it is easier for me to hire from the outside than to promote someone.

Static organization. Limited market for only Hard disks in future. Trend towards SSDs.

Pros

Great people and oganizational values. Benefits are average however they do provide a wonderful crossfit program for free.

Cons

Growth within the organization is difficult. An individual will be given a lot of responsibility however little to no recognition for the positive outcome. An employee has to have a true desire for self-motivation because the management team will continually burden the strong employees and offer little to no recognition for the hard work. Without self-motivation it may be difficult to feel appreciated and to continue to perform at ones peak.
