Poor lifestyle, under paid, and unrecognized contributions (Malaysia branch)
Pros
- Self dependent in terms of educating oneself - Free to invent and get rewarded - Flexible working hours - Opportunity to take on projects overseas where the masters in the field are at arms length for training - Top management have good visions for the future and is realizing it.
Cons
- Poor management in terms of no support on ideas and years of service based promotion. (Commented based on experience in WD) - Poor newbie training as in poor guidance during probation period and lack of knowledge in senior colleagues who shows no initiative to learn due to everyday "firefighting" leading to wrongly answered or ignored questions. Also poor knowledge sharing between experienced and newbie (Commented based on experience in WD) - Poor sense of time in managers going against flexible working hours leading to a sense of inefficiency which is caused by either poorly educated subordinates or lack of employees. (Commented based on experience in WD) - Poorly rewarded employees due to wrong judgement of upper management in companies' direction and current financial status. (Commented based on experience in WD) - Bad work life balance. The term "Go back on time" does not apply due to the job not done today piles up for the next day. This is what management failed to understand as they do not undertake bottom level troubleshooting issues. (Commented based on 4 years of experience)
