      Asleep at the Wheel and HGST isn't.

      Pros

      Bonus' and stock grants, easy to BS Sr. management. Interesting technology but management interested in low cost over quality - as good as previous is the metric.

      Cons

      Lack of leaders, communication, and benefits. Lots of slackers, finger pointing and fake schedules. Sr. management does not hold direct reports accountable.

      Peoples really nice. Many management talents Asian. Rarely feel politics. Open minded culture. Pays good attention to local business culture.

      Cons

      The idea of the product is nice. Quality of product is average. But customer service level still need to be improved to the level of the first crass consumer IT company.

      A frustrating amount of chaos mixed with opportunity and some great people

      Pros

      A lot of opportunity for the motivated, ambitious and lucky. Pretty good compensation - great ESPP program. Some great people spread throughout the company. Real opportunity to make an impact.

      Cons

      Massive thrash and constant change. Vitriolic atmosphere with plenty of hot heads and too many cooks in the kitchen. Too much chaos and change - sometimes its good, but most of the time it is just chaos.
