Don't ever consider working here

Pros

Nice location if you work in Irvine office and brand new office building if you work in the finance/ marketing/ sales department in San Jose. Other than that, nothing's better compared to other companies.

Cons

- Compensation is 20% lower than the market average - Bad health insurance and benefit plan - Selfish management team always put their own interests first and lay off lots of lots of knowledgeable and great long-term employees - More than $15B of debt with 10%+ interest rate when the revenue is dropping year over year. -A company with no future for people with knowledge and skill set. - A company with great potential for people like playing political card in the buracracy environment.

Benefits could be better...

Pros

Now known as the largest storage company in the world. Unlimited PTO benefits is great.

Cons

Health benefits are all high deductible. No other choices for PPO, EPO plans. I feel unprotected and financially insecure sometimes. They are a bit old school and non-progressive when it comes to understanding silicon valley cultural norms and supporting dual career tracks.

Pros

You get left alone in your cubicle, and paycheck is always on time, and you will be sure to go home on time every night.

Cons

Cubicle farm, no real innovation, regular lay-offs, under market pay, tons of foreign "skilled" labour, you will never meet anyone higher than you direct supervisor, no real direction, more of a "see what sticks" company. I mean...they don't even have a QA for products. They just push the latest thing they bought from other companies out there without any real development or QA testing and then if they get any suckers to buy the product, they are happy.
